Queen of the First Grade Jungle is a blog run by a teacher named Katie King. She currently teaches 2nd grade. She covers a range of different topics for the early childhood ages.  Her blog mostly focuses on many different activities. Her activities for students are seemingly straight forward and seem to be interesting. In looking through her blog I found a post about desk arraignment. This is such a great idea in the post she also goes on to tell us about how she plans the centers for the year and prepackages them in the draw of each table. Making it so that each table has all their resources and supplies for each lesson.

The second blog I found is called Inspired Elementary.  The owner of the blog, Ms. Erin is an elementary teacher with over 10 years’ experience as well as an author. Her blog focuses on a lot of hands-on exercises. All her activities consist of kids using their hands and getting involved. One idea I like from this blog is the complement box.  It basically a box in the classroom where students can write down compliments for each other. I would like to do this and every week put the compliments in children's cubbies so they can read it or read them all out to the class on Fridays.

The Schroeder page is ran by Mrs. Schroeder. She has been an educator for   over 10 years and enjoys coming up with new ideas every day. Her website focuses on anticipatory sets. Which is basically introductions to lessons. She provides many resources to help provide a smooth transition from topic to topic. One activity for classroom organization that I loved from her was personal slates. This is basically a budget friendly way to provide kids with dry erase boards. It’s a simple and cost-effective solution that can be used daily. If doing a lesson, it allows children to follow along with brief notes.

This blog is ran by Ms. Krista who has 10 years of experience in the early childhood field. She provides resources on basically creating spaces for children to flourish educationally. Her blog focuses on building up events and spaces that help support educational growth. One thing I will take away from her blog is her student organization tips. In this post she focuses on sharing tips that help make children’s desk more organized as well as the classroom one important thing she used were these cardboard boxes labeled with numbers one for each kid. Where they can put all their notebooks and folders in, and it helps cut clutter in desk.
